Rougatsia or Rougatsiari in Lefkadia. Lefkadia sent out Rougatsia for a collection for charity three adjoining years from 1953 to 1956. The first year in 1953 the group went out for a collection for charity in Naousa.The picture we can see was taken in front of the first municipal school of Naousa. The musical instruments players who came along with the first campaign in 1953 was the native person of Lefkadia Kotsios Foudoulis (1911-1981), a young player (18 year old) Vaggelis Psathas and Petros Logdanidis played tabor. The names of the men who took part in the group are:Foudoulis Antonios,Drenoviadis Theodoros,Kaisidis Spyridon,Ioannou Ioannis,Ourdoulidis Antonios, Dimitrousis Antonios,Dimitrousis Christos,Tomboulidis Dimitrios,Theodoridis Ioannis,Efthimiadis Dimitrios.The purpose of this costum was the collection of money for the preservation of an old church and for the erection of a new church.This advice was taken by the priest of the village with the churchwardens.
